Who I am and what I collect

This policy explains how I, Julianne Arce ("I," "me"), collect, use and protect your information when you visit juliannearce.com, join my email list, register for a class, retreat or program, or contact me. I am based in California, United States.

I collect only what I need to share my work with you and run my teaching.

Information you give me

• Email signups. Your name and email address when you join Notes on Practice & Life or download a free resource such as Design Your Sadhana.
• Waitlists and registrations. Your name, email, and any details you choose to share when you join a waitlist or register for a class, workshop, retreat or course.
• Messages. Anything you send me through the contact form, the workshop inquiry form, or by email.
• Health or practice details. Before a class or retreat you may choose to tell me about an injury, condition or other personal circumstance so I can teach you safely. I use this only for that purpose and never share it.
• Payments. When you pay for a program, retreat or course, your payment is handled by a secure third party payment processor. I never see or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, basic technical information is collected, such as your IP address, browser type, device, the pages you view and how you arrived. This comes through cookies and analytics tools, described below.

How I use your information

• To send the free resources and emails you signed up for, including essays, practices, and news about classes, retreats and programs
• To manage your registration, waitlist place or purchase, and to send confirmations and reminders
• To reply to your messages
• To teach you safely when you share health or practice details
• To understand which pages and posts are useful, so I can improve the site
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations

I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Every email I send includes an unsubscribe link. You can leave the list at any time, and I will stop sending marketing emails right away. I may still send messages about a purchase or registration you have made.

If you are in the European Union or United Kingdom, I rely on your consent for marketing emails, on contract for registrations and purchases, and on my legitimate interest in running and improving the site for basic analytics.

Who I share it with

I share information only with the services that help me run the site and my teaching, and only what each one needs to do its job. Each has its own privacy policy.

• Onepage, which hosts this site and receives the forms you submit
• ActiveCampaign, for email
• Mindbody, for class registration and payments
• Insight Timer, for guided practices linked from the site

I may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect my rights or someone's safety.

Cookies, analytics and Do Not Track

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. The site uses them to work properly, to remember basic settings, and to measure visits. Embedded content from Insight Timer, YouTube and Instagram may set its own cookies when you view or play it.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some embedded content may not load.

Do Not Track. Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. Because there is no common standard for responding to it, the site does not currently change its behavior when it receives one.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask me to:

• Tell you what personal information I hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete your information, unless I must keep it for legal or tax reasons
• Stop sending you marketing emails

To make a request, email me at the address below. I will respond within 30 days and will not treat you differently for asking.

California residents. Under California law you may request the categories of personal information I have collected and shared, and ask me to delete it. I do not sell personal information.

EU and UK residents. You also have the right to object to or restrict how I use your information, to receive a copy in a portable format, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

How long I keep information

I keep email list information until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. I keep registration and payment records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Health or practice details you share for a class or retreat are kept only as long as they are needed for that offering.

Security

I use reputable services with industry standard security, and I limit access to your information to what is needed. No method of storing or sending data online is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site and my programs are intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given me information, contact me and I will delete it.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy as my offerings or the services I use change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. If I make a significant change, I will note it on this page and, where appropriate, by email.
